To remain eligible for the scholarship, you must be registered as a full-time student in good academic standing in the School of Architecture for the duration of the award period. Any deviation from this may result in the cancellation of your scholarship.
1. Scholarship agreement
UTSOA Continuing Student awards: Accept your scholarship online through the scholarship system.
Recruitment or external awards managed by UTSOA: Complete the Scholarship Acceptance Form enclosed with your award letter and email it to the Graduate Admissions and Scholarship Coordinator.
2. Thank-you letters
You must write a thank-you letter to EACH individual listed for your award(s). You may use the same basic text for multiple letters to donors, but make sure to appropriately personalize each letter. Use proper business letter format. See our Scholarship FAQ for questions.
After you've written your letter(s), submit them to UTSOA. Make sure you include:
- Original copy of your signed thank-you letter(s)
- Stamped envelope(s) addressed to the letter recipient(s). Include your return address on the top left corner of the envelope.
If you fold your letters before sending them to UTSOA, make sure they are folded correctly.
You may deliver your letter(s) to the Graduate Office in SUT 2.130 or mail them to:

DO NOT mail the letter(s) directly to the letter recipient(s). The Graduate Admissions and Scholarship Coordinator will review the letter(s) and then mail them to the recipient(s).
Scholarship funds will not be released until you have completed both of these requirements. UTSOA scholarships are released in two equal payments on the 13th class day of the fall and spring semesters unless noted otherwise.
