ARC 386M / CRP 389C:
Cultural Landscape Preservation
Instructor:
Michael Holleran
Examines the North American cultural landscape as it has been shaped by human habitation, including both designed and vernacular landscapes: parks and yards, agricultural and industrial landscapes, linear landscapes such as roadsides and transportation corridors. The course addresses issues in documenting, understanding, and preserving these landscapes. The 2008 offering will use the history of campus design, and the UT-Austin campus, as its research focus.
