Course Objectives
To understand project procedures and practices, including client contact and relations, scheduling, organization and written/oral communications.
To competently select appropriate methods of establishing fees and compensations.
To understand the importance and variety of business formations, principles, legal and ethical considerations involved in a successful practice.
To develop an awareness of the requirements and function of professional interior design organizations.
To develop a job search strategy and professional resume.
Student Evaluation
The understanding of material presented in and through this class will be evaluated through examinations and projects.
2 Examinations (100 points each) : 200 points
Resume, Mini-Portfolio and Cover Letter : 100 points
Class Brochure, Website and Postcard : 100 points
Quizzes (10 points each) as required
400 points minimum
