Color and Light in Architecture

This seminar probes color and light as empirical entities in architecture, and as areas of theoretical and poetic inquiry. It looks at documents and other devices as a means of describing, representing, and specifying conditions of color and light in the production of architectural spaces. Theoretical operatives in this field, such as Jozef Albersą Interaction of Color. film analysis of Wim Wendersą and Charles & Ray Eamesą films, and texts by Italo Calvino and other writers and artists will be examined.
