  • The Pathfinder Office from Trimble software comes with a tool called QuickPlan to assess satellite availability and PDOP, GDOP, etc. In Sutton Lab, use either the "Tholos" or "Bramante" computer, and go to Start-Programs-Pathfinder Office-QuickPlan. (Note: if it says that the almanac data is more than 30 days out of date, you can download "current ephemeris data" from the Trimble GPS Data Resources site below. Download the file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trimble\Almanacs\
Note: whenever you use the GPS receiver to collect data, it also record current ephemeris data which can be transferred back to Patherfinder Office.
  • Trimble's GPS Data Resources Site
(includes downloads for satellite schedules and current ephemeris data)
  • Interactive GPS Satellite Prediction Utility
