Debra Johnson began her career at Gensler in San Francisco where she worked on high-end commercial projects in the Bay Area and New York City. Following her tenure with Gensler, she worked for Overland Partners Architects in San Antonio before co-building Architecture 365—an Austin-based architecture and interiors firm—with her husband, Kit, in 1999. From master planning through construction—their projects range from multi-million dollar mixed-use urban infill projects to churches, commercial interiors, loft conversions and one-of-a-kind residences.

Debra holds an NCIDQ certificate and has been a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Texas since 2000. She is passionate about integrating the details of the interior environment with architecture—allowing each to support the other. Her and her husband are committed to living inner-city and being a part of their community where they have deliberately chosen to live and raise their two children—a few blocks from downtown in one of their loft conversions.
