ISSUE: is the annual, student-run publication of The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. Its intent is to foster interaction and the interchange of ideas among students as well as to record the intellectual activities of the school.

Each year, the ISSUE: editorial team is tasked with capturing the nature of a school year by highlighting a selection of undergraduate and graduate student work completed over the course of the year.

Initially launched in 2004 as a way to break free of the temporal bounds of final reviews to present the work of the school for broader consideration, each volume features undergraduate and graduate student work completed by students in architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design.

    ISSUE: 016

ISSUE: 016 represents graduate and undergraduate work completed in 2019 by students across the school’s disciplines. Not only does conflict relate to the titular word of the publication—ISSUE—the student-editors of ISSUE 016 believe it, as a theme, provides avenues by which the multidisciplinary nature of the school can be explored by presenting various disciplines and approaches in direct dialogue.
