Fall 2016 Material Grant Awards Announced

Congratulations to our three Material Grant winners, and thank you to everyone who applied!

Evelyn Contreras, MFA '18 is interested in representations of space and architecture. For her class with Kristin Lucas, Contreras will be expanding on her printmaking process with the addition of holographic paper discovered at the Materials Lab.

Eric Mattson, M. Arch '17 and Hugo Reynolds, M. Arch 17' will being using wood and steel to explore contemporary approaches to traditional heavy timber construction joinery for Matt Fajkus' Integrative Studio. 

Michael J. Muelhaupt, MFA '17 for his class with Nicole Awai, will be using curative polyurethane gel and aliphatic water-based coating to continue his sculptural exploration of the boundary between bodies and objects.
