Cycling in the African-American Community
On Saturday, April 5, 2014, Snell grant funding was used to support the Family Cycling Event in East Austin with the Austin Police Department, Region 3. Approximately 25 adults participated in the Cycling in the African-American Community training. The Snell funds supported two University of Texas at Austin graduate students as part-time research assistants. The students were paid for time spent planning the event, helping at the event, and coding the surveys in Excel. Funds were also used to buy materials for this event.
