Perceptions of Safety and Transportation Behavior Analysis - Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) travel tracker
The CMAP study is still in the early stages of analyzing and interpreting the Travel Tracker data. We discovered that there is definitely a modal difference in respect to race. At the beginning of our data analyses, it became very evident that we would not be able to focus on the youth population, due to very low representation in the dataset. Instead we are focusing on racial/ethnic differences in the total number of trips made, modal use, and activity patterns of the general population. We hope to continue this project and develop a multi-level model that addresses race, place, and household structure in an activity model.
