Lizzie Welch is a second year CRP student focusing on transportation planning. She is interested in public transit, active transportation, and equity of access. Lizzie is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Transportation Research, studying TxDOT's recent assignment of federal responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act with a team of researchers, practitioners, and graduate students. Lizzie hopes to use the modeling and analytical skills from her undergraduate engineering degree to compare scenarios and provide innovative and equitable transit solutions in Texas cities.

During the 2015-2016 academic year, Lizzie will serve as the President of the CRP Student Organization (CRPSO) and the Secretary of Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS).
