Associate Director for Development
School of Architecture Outstanding Staff Award 2015

Garrett Loontjer is the associate director for development at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture where he focuses on corporation relations, philanthropy, and alumni engagement. Prior to this role, Garrett served as the school’s director of career services and senior academic advisor for undergraduate programs. 

In addition to his work at the UTSOA, Garrett served on the board of directors for the Austin chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and ACE Mentor Program of America for multiple years. As the UT Austin liaison to both organizations, he aimed to bridge the gap between academic and professional design communities.
