The Materials Lab's primary mission is to promote material investigation in design.

The Materials Lab is a valuable resource for students and faculty in the School of Architecture and beyond.  Our contributions include preparing relevant materials samples for course instructors, supporting relevant student and studio projects, and documenting material strategies that result from seminars and studios in our growing database of material methodology reports.

In addition to maintaining and curating the Material Lab's extensive library and corresponding online database, our material researchers conduct research and hands-on exploration of materials, composites, assemblies, and the methods and implications of fabrication, production, and consumption.  Investigations >>
