The folding bamboo plywood screen featured in WMB 3.108 serves many utilitarian functions: door, wall, and signage. It is made of fourteen 2' x 8' panels that fold and slide to provide varying degrees of privacy and openness to a space which receives heavy traffic as both a classroom and conference room. The screen was designed and fabricated at the School of Architecture by Sydney Mainster and Travis Cook, and features bamboo plywood from Teragren.
Sydney Mainster is a former director of the Materials Lab. Travis Cook graduated from the M.Arch program in 2012.
