City Forum

Kristi Shalla is an urban mobility enthusiast and an expert in global economic development and building innovative ecosystems. She is currently the Innovation Commissioner at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington D.C. She coauthored Seoul: Tale of a Smart City, which analyzes how Seoul evolved into a global benchmark for public transit reform and urban renewal.

City Forum is a planning and urban issues speaker series coordinated by the UT School of Architecture's Community and Regional Planning program. The series is intended to provide a space for open, critical dialogue regarding crucial planning-related issues in Austin and elsewhere, and to encourage discussion of diversity, multiple publics, and social change.
