David Pineda of TARES Arquitectos will share their ongoing work of documenting and restoring buildings in Mexico City. TARES has worked with the Mexican Government and the National Institute of Anthropology and History for more than a decade on the restoration and conservation of Mexico's historical buildings. These include religious colonial buildings and other buildings which construction ranges from the sixteenth century to mid-century modern architecture.

David Pineda, is a Mexican Architect graduated from Metropolitan Autonomy University. He holds a master’s degree in Preservation and Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the National Conservation School of Mexico (ENCRyM).  Pineda’s work on heritage properties started back in 1994 when he participated in the urban rehabilitation of Real del Monte, Hidalgo. David was part of the team that intervened and restored more than 600 buildings in the State of Oaxaca after the earthquakes of 1999. Since 2007 he founded TARES, an architecture firm that focuses in the conservation the built heritage in Mexico City and all over the country.
