Architectural Ornament, from Vitruvius to the Digital Age
Antoine Picon is the G. Ware Travelstead Professor of the History of Architecture and Technology at Harvard Graduate School of Design . He has published numerous books and articles mostly dealing with the complementary histories of architecture and technology. Picon's 2010 Digital Culture in Architecture proposes a comprehensive interpretation of the changes brought by the computer to the design professions. His most recent book Ornament: The Politics of Architecture and Subjectivity deals with the relation between digital culture and the "return" of ornament in architecture.
