Mass Story Lab: The Texas Incarceration Maze

Monday Oct. 10, 2016 , 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Mass Story Lab

What happens when you bring together storytelling, dialogue, and design? You get a Mass Story Lab,  an interactive storytelling event that promotes community, creativity, and justice. In a Mass Story Lab the experiences of people directly impacted by mass incarceration become a catalyst for imagining a world beyond prisons.

Mass Story Lab is an art and design project that arms communities across the U.S. with creative tools to design solutions to mass incarceration. With every community choosing its own theme, Mass Story Lab utilizes participatory storytelling to provide that community a voice and platform to envision change. In Austin, TX we will be exploring the intersections between immigrant detention and incarceration.
