From www.overlandpartners.com:
Alan Gombera: "Having worked as a candidate architect and architect in South Africa, Alan’s main goal has always been to expand his professional knowledge in architecture and also to make a meaningful contribution to the industry. With a keen interest in sustainable design, his master’s degree research at NMMU South Africa was focused on the reuse of buildings, challenging the common tendency to build new buildings, which in turn contributes to an increase in new material usage, energy usage, degradation of virgin land, and an increase in the global carbon footprint. Having recently joined Overland Partners from South Africa, he intends to gain a fresh perspective on architecture and sustainable design. Aside from work, Alan loves to travel and meet new people while experiencing different cultures."
Yanjing Chen: "Yanjing is passionate about architecture and environment design. After graduating with honors in China, she continued her study of architecture at The University of Texas at Austin and received a Master of Architecture. Yanjing has achieved significant experience in architectural practice both in China and the U.S. While working for Overland, her professional skill and her positive and collaborative attitude has served well on high profile designs of varied scale projects. Yanjing has a keen interest in sustainability and possesses advanced knowledge of sustainable design. She is committed to bringing insightful perspective and incorporating societal and environmental demands into responsive design. Yanjing loves to travel. In her spare time, she likes to wander around different cities, taste featured cuisine, and meet new people while experiencing different cultures. It is a great opportunity for her to discover the beauty of life."
