Workshop: Living Materials

Friday March 23, 2018 , 10 a.m. to noon
A metal pedestrian bridge crosses over a grassy area with small trees and shrubs. In the foreground, a bush with pink flowers is visible, and in the background, buildings are partially hidden by large green trees.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at sustainable landscape strategies at the Dell Medical School campus, which features a green roof, bioswales, a wildflower garden, and a key section of Waller Creek.  Jim Walker, Director of Sustainability for UT, will lead a walking tour with a discussion of SITES at UT. Justin Hayes will share day-to-day strategies used in regenerative landscapes and lead participants in an invasive species removal and replanting activity in Waller Creek. RSVP by email.

This workshop is part of the Green Materials Lab series funded by UT Green Fee.
