Assistant Professor in Architecture: Design & Technology
Now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Architecture program, beginning in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will join the program as an Assistant Professor (though exceptional candidates at higher ranks may be considered) and will contribute to the school’s mission through teaching, research/creative practice, and service.
The ideal candidate will have the capacity to teach design studio courses, in addition to core technical course sequence in construction, structures, and environmental controls. The candidate can also develop their own seminar course, focused on their specific research expertise.

Assistant Professor in Architecture: AI and Time-Based Media
Now accepting applications and nominations for an accomplished designer and educator to join the faculty, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will join the program as a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor with responsibilities for research/creative practice and teaching. Exceptional, tenured candidates at a higher rank will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach design studios and courses related to their qualifications at both the core and advanced levels of our undergraduate and graduate SOA curricula. We are seeking expertise in design that may emphasize dynamic environmental modeling, sensory-related studies, building technology integration, data and spatial visualization, gaming and/or storytelling.

Assistant Professor in Architecture: Design

The individual hired will play a critical role in shaping a dynamic curriculum, teaching both required and elective courses in their area of expertise, while advancing their own research/creative practice. We are seeking candidates whose design work and experience offer inspiring, relevant, and innovative perspectives on discipline-specific issues through research, scholarship, critical practice, collaboration, and pedagogy. The successful candidate will engage with interdisciplinary opportunities available at the school, the university, the city, and beyond.

Assistant Professor of Housing & Community Development
Now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Community and Regional Planning program, beginning in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will join the program as an Assistant Professor (though exceptional candidates at higher ranks may be considered) and will contribute to the School’s mission through teaching, research/creative practice, and service.
The individual hired will play an integral role in shaping a dynamic, interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes the intersection of housing access, community development, and participatory decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in qualitative research methods and the range of historical and theoretical perspectives on housing and community development.
