Students Recognized at UT Honors Day
Congratulations to the 44 undergraduate students from the School of Architecture selected for recognition at The University of Texas at Austin’s 75th annual Honors Day! Introduced in 1948 and celebrated every year since, Honors Day recognizes the accomplishments of the highest achieving students at UT Austin—those who, by meeting competitive criteria, have earned their distinction as College Scholars or Distinguished College Scholars.
For 2023, nine undergraduate students from the School of Architecture were named Distinguished College Scholars, meaning they are within the top 4% of their cohort, and 35 were designated College Scholars, with a grade point average of at least 3.50 and ranking in the top 20% of their class.
On Saturday, April 15, student honorees and their guests will gather to celebrate their achievements at a university-wide ceremony, preceded by a School of Architecture brunch in the Goldsmith Courtyard. Each scholar attending the ceremony will receive a set of honors cords that can be worn with academic regalia at Commencement. Distinguished College Scholars are also awarded a medallion onstage during the ceremony.
The UT Tower will also be lit orange on April 15 to celebrate these scholars. Congratulations, students!
