This workshop will provide participants with information related to working with professional architectural photographers. Licensing, preparation for shoots, multiple party participation, and the advantages of using a professional photographer will be only some of the extensive material presented.
Instructor Park Street is an ex-president of the Austin/San Antonio Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and has been a commercial photographer specializing in architectural work for over twenty years.
Eric Höweler, AIA, LEED AP (b. Cali, Colombia) is an architect and educator, founding principal of Höweler + Yoon Architecure and Assistant Professor in Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from Cornell University and completed his high school education at the International School Bangkok.
On Friday, April 8, the Center for American Architecture and Design hosted Juan Miro as part of the Friday Lunch Forum series.
Roughly every other Friday during the fall and spring semesters, the Center hosts the Friday Lunch Forum Series. The aim of the series is for faculty, staff, and students to meet in an informal atmosphere to debate topics and to share ideas about history, practice, theory, and new directions for architecture. Recordings of each forum will be posted as they become available.

This one-hour workshop will help participants develop a personal toolkit for field documentation. The ability to efficiently and effectively catalog photographs taken in the field allows them to be a valuable and rich tool for personal reference or for others. Participants will have the opportunity to see images from sample field sketchbooks, review a checklist of compact items to aid in documentation and get tips on taking field notes for large numbers of digital images.

Marlon Blackwell, FAIA, is a practicing architect in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and serves as the E. Fay Jones Distinguished Professor in Architecture at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas. He served as Department Head from 2009 – 2015. He was named among the “30 Most Admired Educators” by DesignIntelligence in 2015.
