This course will explore the work and ideas of the most important architects of the modern movement. We will focus on the key buildings for each architect, undertaking a series of case studies. The course is focused on how we write about the built environment, its history, theory, and meanings. It will explore how we evaluate the architecture of the past and present, and how we can set this understanding into prose.
