Kelly Thurmond

Scholarship and Fellowship Coordinator

Kelly Thurmond has been working at UT Austin for ten years as a Scholarship / Fellowship Coordinator, previously at The College of Fine Arts and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.

A McNair Scholar, she studied Musicology in graduate school, where her research focused on philosophical, sociological, and literary aspects of African, contemporary, and late Romantic vocal music. She has continued her education by participating in courses at UT Austin, including literature and creative writing courses.

She is from San Antonio, TX and her hobbies include yoga, seeing live music, and literary events. She is always willing to make a playlist for any occasion.
