Patrick Miller

IT Coordinator I

Patrick Miller was born and raised in Austin, TX. Upon graduating from high school, he went on to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned his Bachelor's in Communications. During his final years of college, Patrick entered the IT field as a contract worker for a local computer company. After graduating from UTSA, Patrick was hired full-time as a lead computer tech and expanded his role and skills by taking on the position of a network cable infrastructure technician as well.

After working with the company for 7 years, Patrick decided it was time to relocate back to Austin, TX, where he started a job at The University of Texas at Austin as a Desktop Support Specialist. After state law went into effect, dismantling the division he worked for, Patrick was hired on with The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, where he currently serves in the role of IT coordinator I. Within his role of IT Coordinator I, Patrick is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to supporting classroom technology, maintenance of 3D printers, Laser cutters, printers/plotters, student billing, and providing tech and A/V support for exhibitions, events, and guest lectures.
