David Bruton, Jr. Centennial Professor Emeritus in Urban Design
Dr. Terry Kahn has earned several School of Architecture and Texas Excellence Teaching Awards, and in 1996, received the University Outstanding Graduate Teacher Award. He received the University's highest teaching honor by being selected as a member of the elite Academy of Distinguished Teachers. Kahn has written on non-traditional employment of planning graduates and served as editor for Center 6: A Journal for Architecture in America, "Architecture vs. Planning: Collision and Collaboration in the Design of American Cities," and has written and lectured on a breadth of planning topics. Dr. Kahn is the administrator in charge of the University's requirement that all dissertations be submitted in digital format. His current research is focused on the opportunity cost of large-scale community project expenditures.
