The Master in Landscape Architecture First-Professional Degree, accredited and thus certified by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) meets the educational requirements to qualify graduates for licensure in all US states and territories. It is advisable to check with the licensure board in the jurisdiction where you wish to become licensed to confirm educational and additional requirements.
Licensure is a formal, legal recognition that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities to practice landscape architecture without endangering the public's health, safety, or welfare. You must meet a jurisdiction’s requirements in education, examination, and experience to provide landscape architectural services or to use the title “landscape architect.”
Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) works to protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare by establishing and promoting professional licensure standards. Licensure boards across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico comprise CLARB membership.
