Texas Global Alumni Summit in Seoul
Dean Heather Woofter joined the UT delegation at the inaugural Texas Global Alumni Summit in Seoul, held April 16–17, 2026. The two-day event featured visits to Yonsei University, Hanyang University, and Korea University, along with a series of panel discussions. During the Dean’s Panel, Dean Woofter shared perspectives on disciplinary strategic trajectories for the coming years, assessed the greatest unrealized potential in the UT–Korea relationship, and contributed to global conversations on educating and preparing future generations to navigate rapid technological, economic, and environmental change.
CRP Professor Ming Zhang also participated in the summit and delivered a guest lecture at Inha University. Following the summit, Dean Woofter hosted a School of Architecture alumni gathering on the evening of April 18, 2026. The event brought together eight alumni from CRP, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture programs, along with two South Korean faculty members who have hosted SOA visits in recent years.
Together, the UT Summit and the SOA alumni event celebrated the UT community, strengthened alumni networks, and fostered opportunities for expanded engagement and future collaboration.
