The Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, established in 1975, is a non-profit education and research center that specializes in life cycle planning and design. Headed by Pliny Fisk III and Gail Vittori, The Center pursues projects that emphasize regional contexts as bases for responsible resource use relative to materials, energy, water, waste, food, and meaningful employment.

The lecture will discuss the work currently exhibited at UTSOA's Mebane Gallery. The exhibit displays the architectural work, drawings and sketches from Vincent Snyder’s 11-month residency resulting from his Rome Prize in Architecture (2014-2015).  Much of the work includes three (3) Texas-based projects influenced by the varied contexts of Italy, Rome, and the Academy.

On Friday, April 22, the Center for American Architecture and Design hosted Brent Chamberlain as part of the Friday Lunch Forum series.

Roughly every other Friday during the fall and spring semesters, the Center hosts the Friday Lunch Forum Series. The aim of the series is for faculty, staff, and students to meet in an informal atmosphere to debate topics and to share ideas about history, practice, theory, and new directions for architecture. Recordings of each forum will be posted as they become available.

spaceCAMP is a collaboration between Mason Leland Moore [MArch '08] and Joel Nolan [MArch '09]. spaceCAMP’s mission is to experiment with materials and explore spatial concepts through an ongoing series of site-specific installations. HyperStyle was conceived with an interest in highlighting the perceived physical tension found between the cumbrous concrete floor and ceiling of the Materials Lab at the School of Architecture.
