Fall 2023 Lecture Series Poster

The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture’s Fall 2023 public programming aims to create and explore discourse on topics vital to the study and practice of architecture, design, and the built environment. Featuring a broad cross-section of practitioners and representatives from the academy, the series serves to extend the pedagogy of classes and design studios, fostering intellectual curiosity and the open exchange of ideas.

Starting September 11 and continuing throughout the semester, architects, interior designers, landscape architects, theorists, and scholars will present lectures that build on the school’s ongoing exploration of contemporary topics across scales, modes of engagement, and geographies. Complementing the lecture series are two exhibitions: American A-Frame curated by Barkow Leibinger (Sept. 18 – Oct. 30), and Radical Middle Grounds, curated by Assistant Professor Martin Haettasch (Nov. 10-17), which will be complemented by a housing symposium hosted by the Center for American Architecture and Design.

All lectures and exhibitions are free and open to the public. The complete programming calendar appears below and on the School of Architecture’s events calendar. All times are noted in CT.
