spaceCAMP is a collaboration between Mason Leland Moore [MArch '08] and Joel Nolan [MArch '09]. spaceCAMP’s mission is to experiment with materials and explore spatial concepts through an ongoing series of site-specific installations. HyperStyle was conceived with an interest in highlighting the perceived physical tension found between the cumbrous concrete floor and ceiling of the Materials Lab at the School of Architecture.

In 2008, the world as a whole passed the 50% threshold of individuals living in cities as opposed to the countryside. The western world is already urbanised, with 78% of people living in urban areas.

This workshop will provide participants with information related to working with professional architectural photographers. Licensing, preparation for shoots, multiple party participation, and the advantages of using a professional photographer will be only some of the extensive material presented.
Instructor Park Street is an ex-president of the Austin/San Antonio Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and has been a commercial photographer specializing in architectural work for over twenty years.

Eric Höweler, AIA, LEED AP (b. Cali, Colombia) is an architect and educator, founding principal of Höweler + Yoon Architecure and Assistant Professor in Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from Cornell University and completed his high school education at the International School Bangkok.

On Friday, April 8, the Center for American Architecture and Design hosted Juan Miro as part of the Friday Lunch Forum series.
Roughly every other Friday during the fall and spring semesters, the Center hosts the Friday Lunch Forum Series. The aim of the series is for faculty, staff, and students to meet in an informal atmosphere to debate topics and to share ideas about history, practice, theory, and new directions for architecture. Recordings of each forum will be posted as they become available.

Gina Ford, ASLA is a landscape architect, principal, and chair of Sasaki's Urban Studio. The Urban Studio is an energized and interdisciplinary group of practitioners solely dedicated to the improvement of quality of life in cities through rigorous planning, exceptional design, and strong community partnerships.

This one-hour workshop will help participants develop a personal toolkit for field documentation. The ability to efficiently and effectively catalog photographs taken in the field allows them to be a valuable and rich tool for personal reference or for others. Participants will have the opportunity to see images from sample field sketchbooks, review a checklist of compact items to aid in documentation and get tips on taking field notes for large numbers of digital images.
