Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Habitat for Humanity Restore is an organization that supports the Austin community by generating revenue for Habitat’s programs and services, leads educational workshops, and provides community service and volunteer opportunities.  Restore acts as a recycling center that diverts millions of pounds of construction materials from the landfill and all revenue from sales directly support Habitat’s homeownership programs.

Jean-François Renaud is a Paris-based architect. He is a co-founder of Babin + Renaud and a professor at École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville. He has previously taught at architecture schools in Lille, Marseille, and Nantes.

Representatives from Page, Code Studio, Black & Vernooy, Waxwing Design Studio, and Clickspring Design will be on hand to offer one-on-one advice to UTSOA students on resumes, work samples, portfolios, interviews, and more! Sign-up sheets will be available outside the Career Services office starting on Tuesday, January 19. Students will also be able to sign up for a time slot during the event itself.

The workshop will be held in the Goldsmith Hall 2.110 (Main Jury Room) from 5:30 to 9pm.

CNU-CTX is hosting a UTSOA screening of selected films from the New Urbanism Film Festival. The New Urbanism Film Festival was created to move the conversation about urban planning out of the text book and beyond the council chambers and into the movie theater. How we design our cities impacts everyone, not just legislatively and academically, but in a real day-to-day sense.
