Dynamic Baths

Dynamic Baths provides a bath house experience that promotes a dynamic visual experience defined by diagonal wall thicknesses that break the primary linear pathway into distinct moments of rest, reflection, shade, sun, and social interactions. Simultaneously, the wall thickness guides the movement of people through the built structure – composed of both tectonic and stereotomic elements with distinct light qualities. The structure itself recognizes the length and thinness of the trail on which it is located, enhancing those characteristics in the design while promoting a safe, open yet separated space from the noise and busy life found in Downtown Austin.
